For Faculty

In addition to providing direct service to undergraduate and graduate students, Learning Skills Specialists are available to consult with teaching Faculty, from Course Instructors to TA’s, concerning Learning Skills-related issues.

Time and resources permitting, a Learning Skills Peer or Learning Skills Specialist may be available to  deliver any of our existing 1-hour  Learning Skills Workshops to individual classrooms between the hours of 8:30-4:30, Monday - Friday. (Please note that at least 4 weeks notice is required for booking on-demand workshops and due to limited staffing, we may not  be able to fulfill all requests.) If you are interested in booking a Learning Skills workshop for your classroom on a limited first-come, first-served basis, please email us at with information about your request and preferred timing, and in most cases we will get back to you within a few days.

We also welcome opportunities to work with Faculty, to help develop strategies to embed and scaffold academic literacies and learning skills into the course design.

Learning Skills Specialists can also work with individual Faculty members, groups, or departments, to provide Learning Skills materials or workshops to fit the requirements of your specific discipline or topic area, time and resources permitting . Please contact us and let us know how we can help!
